There are already some tools for installing Windows 10 updates manually. Now Belim ( Builtbybel ) is also trying it out with his new Patchlady tool. As a default, he used the Windows 10 manual update from slavanap and will certainly expand it now.

At the moment it doesn't look like a tool from Builtbybel. But all of that is sure to come. You can run the portable tool like this and look for updates that are still open. Or you can deactivate the automatic updates and then have control over them. Just don't forget to check for updates. The last patch day once again showed that over 100 security holes were fixed.

How-to

Before running this app you should turn off automatic updates installation (not a requirement). This could be done via Group Policy Object Editor MMC snap-in or via importing registry files into Windows Registry.

In order to do it via MMC:

• Press Win+R. Type mmc.exe. Hit Enter.
• Navigate menu File -> Add/Remove Snap-in. Select Group Policy Object Editor, click Add to add it to the list on the right. Click Finish, then OK.
• On the left navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update. Select that folder.
• In the list select Configure Automatic Updates policy and set it to Disabled. This setting will disable automatic updates check and installation, but if you navigate to Updates in Windows Setting you'll implicitly launch automatic updates check and installation.

Users can view information regarding the SMART status of their SSDs, this way being able to easily monitor the health status and performance. Diagnostic scans for periodical evaluations are also available, as are a series of options for securely erasing all data from an SSD.

For preventing SSD data degradation, the application offers a detection feature, which will ensure a clean and effective removal of unnecessary data from drives.
