Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2018: final version is already available [Update: German version is on the servers ready]

In October 2016 Kaspersky had provided his first tech previews of Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2018 for testing.

QuickHash is a straightforward and fast hash verification utility designed to ensure the authenticity of downloaded files. It will quickly display the MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, and SHA3 hashes for the file that you select and will also allow hash string comparison.

When downloading files from the Internet, you risk getting infected documents which could, in turn, infect your entire computer. To avoid this, you can download files only from sources you trust then check their hash values to ensure they have not been tampered with.

QuickHash is a user-friendly application that can help you verify your files’ integrity without leaving any traces in the Windows registry as it does not require any installation.

You only need to browse to the file you want to check or you can drag and drop it onto the main window of QuickHash to have its checksum calculated and displayed. Furthermore, the program also shows the exact date when the file was last modified, along with the version.

Today I have released v2.8.4 of QuickHash. It includes only a few fixes but they are significant.

The interface is represented by a standard window with a plain aspect, divided into four main areas, dedicated to compression, decompression, settings and language (multiple choices), respectively. Pointing out a file for compression or decompression is done using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop feature is not supported. The process is initialized with the click of a button. You can view details regarding the source file path, command line, initial and resulted size after compression/decompression.
