How does it work?

1: Download the Dr.Web LiveCD image.
2: Burn the image onto a CD/DVD. Users of Nero Burning ROM should proceed as follows:

nsert a blank CD/DVD into your CD/DVD recorder
Click on the 'File' menu and select 'Open'
Browse through folders to the image location and select it
Press the 'Burn' button, and wait while the image is being written to the disk

3: Make sure that the CD/DVD drive or any other device with Dr.Web LiveCD is set as the first boot device. Adjust corresponding BIOS settings, if necessary.

4: As loading starts, a dialogue window will prompt you to choose between the standard and safe modes.

5: Use arrow keys to select a desired mode and press [Enter]:
If you want to use the scanner with the GUI, choose DrWeb-LiveCD (Default)
If you'd like to start the scanner using the command line (console), select DrWeb-LiveCD (Safe Mode)
Choose Start Local HDD, if you want to boot from the hard drive instead of Dr.Web LiveCD
Select Testing Memory to launch the Memtest86+ utility

6: If DrWeb-LiveCD (Default) is selected, the operating system will detect all available disk drives automatically. It will also try to connect to the local network, if available.

7: When the system is loaded, check the disks or folders you want to scan, and click on 'Start'.

8: If you need extra help, you can contact the Doctor Web Support Team by filling out a Support-Request Form on our website or sending your request via e-mail

9: The Midnight Commander file manager is used to work with files you need to copy to a safe location

10: If the operating system failed to configure access to your network, you can do it manually using Networks Configure Manager. From the 'Start' menu, go to 'Settings,' and then to 'Networks Configure

NOTE: For the time being, the issue tracker has been closed due to too many users filing invalid issues due to uMatrix blocking stuff according to its ruleset (aka doing its job). I did warn that uMatrix is for advanced users, and advanced users are expected to be able to understand rulset and figure what needs to be done in order to unbreak stuff. I would re-open the issue tracker if I could find a way to allow only select contributors who have a good track history of filing actual valid issues, but this is currently not possible on GitHub.

Warnings

Regarding broken sites

uMatrix does not guarantee that sites will work fine: it is for advanced users who can figure how to un-break sites, because essentially uMatrix is a firewall which works in relaxed block-all/allow-exceptionally mode out of the box: it is not unexpected that sites will break.

So this means do not file issues to report broken sites when the sites are broken because uMatrix does its job as expected. I will close any such issue without further comment.

I expect there will be community driven efforts for users to help each others. If uMatrix had a home, I would probably set up a forum, but I do not plan for such thing, I really just want to code, not manage web sites. If you need help to un-break a site when using uMatrix, you can try Wilders Security, where you are likely to receive help if needed, whether by me or other users.

uMatrix can be set to work in allow-all/block-exceptionally mode with a single click on the all cell in the global scope *, if you prefer to work this way. This will of course break less sites, but you would then lose all the benefits which comes with block-all/allow-exceptionally mode -- though you will still benefit from the 62,000+ blacklisted hostnames by default.

Given the announcement that legacy extensions will be disabled tomorrow in the Nightly build, I pushed uMatrix/webext -- the pure WebExtension version -- to dev channel of uMatrix on AMO.

If you wish to migrate from 1.0.0 to uMatrix/webext but want to keep all your settings/data, just go through the intermediate step of installing uMatrix/webext-hybrid before installing uMatrix/webext. The most recent uMatrix/webext-hybrid is 1.0.1b4, available in dev channel on AMO.

See uBlock Origin's "Firefox WebExtensions" documentation, this also applies to uMatrix.

DISM can be used to service a Windows image (.wim) or a virtual hard disk (.vhd or .vhdx). DISM is available through the command line or from Windows PowerShell. Disk cleaning and startup management in a single place
With no setup process to go through, Dism++ starts as you double-click its main executable. It reveals an organized interface with a simple navigation menu that offers one-click access to all its features.
The Disk Cleaner is the first tool in the list, retrieving information about data that occupies storage space and that can be removed. To be more specific, you can erase the search history, the updates installation history, error reports, leftovers and temporary files, cache files, and Windows Store residual data.
Dism++ also bundles a startup manager that helps you decide which apps and commands should be executed with Windows at startup or at boot.

Manage Windows image files and create WIM backups
If you are looking for the image file management tools, they can be found in the Toolkit. You can convert ESD images to ISO or WIM format, edit Windows image files, and pack up the contents of a folder in an ISO file.
However, not all the tools here are about image files. There is a system backup (as a WIM image) and restore utility, a user account manager, a startup fixer, and a tool that allows you to run any command in God mode. During our tests, the File Explorer failed to start.

PIDKey Lite is intended  for browsing, updating and saving in database information about MS products keys.

It allows to change PIDKey by Ratiborus, Ultimate PID Checker by janek2012 and VAMT. Program PIDKey Lite is assignee of  PIDKey and has taken from it the best ideas. The main  feature of the program is creation SOL-database  unlike  PIDKey, where the database, in fact, have been kept in text files. Program allows to add new keys in two modes (modes of adding keys would be described later) and check them as well as find in database necessary keys, update information about them and (or) transfer them to blocked ones.

Availability of the Internet is necessary for  finding available activations of MAK keys. Program doesn’t need installation and it is totally portable. The database already contains GVLK- keys, uncertain keys and blocked keys from reliable sources.
