Intel SSD Data Center is a drive management tool for Intel SSD products, to update the firmware, get drive information, resize storage capacity, and more.

Intel SSD Data Center comes in a ZIP file with 32-Bit and 64-Bit executables as well as an installation guide, release notes, and a user guide.

For some reason, this is a command-line app. You'll need to run an elevated command-prompt. The fastest way is to press the Windows+S keys and type in cmd. Now, right-click on Command Prompt when it appears and then select "Run as Administrator." Now, change directories to the installed location which is C:\isdct and run isdct with the required switches. You're going to want to refer to the user guide here for the many available switches. 

For those who need this app and aren't familiar with the command-prompt, once you have the command prompt open, simply type in cd\ and that will take you to the root of your C drive. Now, type in cd\isdct, and you will be in the proper folder. Finally, once you find the switch you want simply type in "isdct show -intelssd" to get your drive information.

Intel SSD Data Center is a necessary evil for geeks using Intel SSD drives. We have no idea why there's no GUI, but it's a reason to keep us from buying an Intel SSD when everyone else does have a GUI with their management apps.

Which file should you download?

Ventoy is an Open Source tool to create a bootable USB drive for ISO files.

With Ventoy, you will not need to format the disk over and over again; you just need to copy the ISO file to the USB drive and boot it.

You will also be able to copy many ISO files at a time, and Ventoy will provide you with a boot menu from which to select them. Both Legacy BIOS and UEFI are supported in the same way. 160+ ISO files have been tested and compiled in an easily accessible list.  A "Ventoy Compatible" concept is introduced by Ventoy, which can help to support any ISO file.
 

Ventoy is a lightweight tool that provides a quick way to make bootable USB drives from ISO files. Reinstalling your operating system via a bootable USB comes with the advantage that you do not need to spend time formatting the disk. Instead, you simply insert the USB in the dedicated port and reboot your PC.While there are numerous tools that create bootable USB, most of them rely on the OS's kernel which needs to access the hardware storage media for the source. The idea behind the program is different and entails that the information is saved to runtime memory before booting. Therefore, the OS can determine that the data is booted from a virtual disk, find the source medium needed for the operation and continue to boot without having to create the standard hook, as with the classic booting.

Ventoy is a tool to create bootable USB media. What separates it from other solutions of its kind is that it uses ISO images for that instead of extracted files. Another difference to most solutions is that it supports multiple ISO images that you can put on the same USB device. The program detects these and displays a boot menu when the computer is started so that users may pick one of the available operating systems or tool discs during the process.

Ventoy 1.0.15 adds support for GPT partitions to the program. The developer published a support article that provides details on the differences between MBR and GPT in Ventoy. Basically, the core differences are:

• MBR is better when it comes to legacy BIOS support.
• GPT is better when it comes to UEFI support.
• GPT supports disk with 2 TB and more.
• GPT's maximum partition number is 128, MBR's is 4.

Ventoy users may switch the partition style with a click on Option > Partition Style and the selection of MBR or GPT in the menu.

It is worth mentioning that the tool allows you to add as many ISO files as you want, case in which, you are welcomed by a menu following the boot. The program supports ISO files over 4 GB as well native UEFI and Legacy BIOS and it works with dozens of operating systems, as the developer states there have been more than 160 files tested.
