The dynamic filtering pane in the popup panel is now available in read-only mode to users who did not enable "I am an advanced user" in Settings:
The rationale for this change is explained in issue 2010. It still is collapsed by default, but can be brought up by clicking the "requests blocked" or "domains connected" fields in the main area.
In order to promote the reuse of injectable scriplets across different sites, it is now possible for a scriptlet to accept arguments. The arguments are comma-separated and appear after the token, for example (a real case):
golem.de##script:inject(abort-on-property-write.js, _sp_)
In the example above, the scriplet abort-on-property-write.js contains a placeholder for one argument, which placeholder will be replaced with the argument _sp_. Placeholders for scriplets which accept arguments will always be for string values (reminder that injectable scriplets are part of the project, never from an external party).
A new "Advanced settings" pane, available only to advanced users. It contains settings which are experimental, or which are of interest to advanced users who want more control over how uBO behaves internally. I do not want to bloat the Settings pane in the dashboard with settings which are of interest only to a minority of users or which are experimental: this is where the new "Advanced settings" pane is useful.
When you enabled "Advanced users" in the Settings pane, a cogs icon will appear next to that setting. Click this cogs icon to access those "hidden" advanced settings:
The UI of the advanced settings page is purposefully stern. Keep in mind that whatever settings you see in there may be experimental and could be removed at any time in the future.
Experimental advanced setting of interest: suspendTabsUntilReady (default to false), to prevent uBO from establishing any remote connection at launch before all filter lists/settings have been fully loaded (related issue #1327). How well it works will have to be evaluated by users.
From now on, there will be a Firefox's WebExtension version of uBO (see uBlock0.webext.zip below, see "Temporary Installation in Firefox" on how to install on Firefox). Do not bother trying it out if you do not have Nightly 52.0a1 (2016-10-29) or later installed. Also, do not open issues here for the WebExtension version of uBO -- it is still at an experimental stage and there are things which are known to be missing in the API for uBO to fully function: see bugzilla 13099260.

VNC is remote control software which allows you to view and fully interact with one computer desktop (the "VNC server") using a simple program (the "VNC viewer") on another computer desktop anywhere on the Internet. Use Carbon CD to make backup copies of your music or data CDs. Copy (Clone) most CDs in just a few mouse clicks. Create perfect 1:1 copies or save your CDs to your computer. If you are familiar with Clone CD, you should feel right at home using Carbon CD. The biggest difference between the two is that Carbon CD does not support DVDs yet (Still working on it).
Carbon CD is based on the CD Manipulator code created by Y. Kanechika. Originally in Japanese, It now supports English by default. Windows 10 Update Switch is a simple tool that enables you to turn-off or turn-on Windows 10 updates. You can also use Switch10 to set certain connection types as metered. Prior to Windows 10 Anniversary Update you could Disable Windows 10 Updates using Group Policies. However, after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, this option is no longer available. "Thank you Microsoft, we appreciate it!". As a result, we have to resort to unorthodox methods to disable Windows 10 updates.
Windows 10 Update Switch disable and stops the Windows Update service and in doing so, disables Windows 10 Updates permanently. Furthermore, with Switch10, you can quickly enable Windows 10 updates again when you need it. It will in this case enable and start the Windows Update service again for your computer to update as normal.
Apart from all this, Switch10 can be used to set different connections as metered. At the moment Windows 10 only allows you to set Wi-Fi connections as metered. Switch10 allows you to set 3G, 4G, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connection types as metered. With Switch10, you can quickly set these connection types back too non-metered when needed. When a connection type is set to metered, Windows 10 will not download updates on that connection type.

BIOS Beep Codes Viewer (Build 1036) Portable
The Beep codes viewer is a simple tool that will explain the BIOS error beep codes for all the main PC BIOS manufacturers (AMI, AWARD, Phoenix, IBM). If you've ever had a PC fail its power-on self-test then you'll know how useful this can be. Typically you'll just get some pattern of beeps - one long and three short, say - and then be left hunting for your system manual to find out what these noises could possibly mean.
With the Beep codes viewer, though, it's all very different. The program is portable, so save it to a USB flash drive and you can launch it from just about any PC. Then choose your BIOS type (it may say on the boot screen, if you still get one), and click on the beep code you're hearing for a detailed description of what it's trying to tell you, and how to fix the problem.

All Winsock Repair features was built into Complete Internet Repair and this is the reason, I essentially discontinued Winsock Repair. However; I noticed that many people where still searching for and using Winsock Repair; this is why I needed to brought it back. Although I am still updating Winsock Repair, it is recommended that you rather use Complete Internet Repair to solve your Internet connection issues.
The Winsock Repair program is a small tool that can help you to reset or repair the Windows sockets configuration to defaults or clean state. Most of the Internet connectivity problems arise out of corrupt Winsock settings. Windows sockets settings may get corrupted due to networking software installation, or perhaps a Malware infestation.
When Winsock corruption occurs, you will not be able connect to the Internet, but the packets won't transfer back and forth. And errors such as "Page cannot be displayed" may occur while trying to browse the internet. Try using Winsock Repair if your computer shows any of the following symptoms:

The installation utility will automatically install the 64 bit version on a 64 bit platform and the 32 bit version on 32 bit platform. Google Chrome Software Removal Tool is an easy-to-use program which tries to get a broken Chrome installation working again.Launch it and the tool scans your PC for programs which Google considers "suspicious" or "known to cause problems with Chrome", and offers to remove them.
Bizarrely, the CSRT won't give you the names of these suspicious programs, so you'll have to trust it. Or you can just run the program to see if it thinks there are any, then click "Cancel" instead of "Remove" when the report appears.
Whatever you do, once the scan is complete, CSRT launches Chrome with the chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings command, prompting you to reset your Chrome settings. Click "Reset" and Chrome will be reset to its default settings, otherwise just close the window to continue as usual.
There are no other settings or options, nothing else to do at all.
Google provides few details of what the Chrome Software Removal Tool actually does. They do claim it removes programs which "aren't typical cases of malware", though, so it might be useful even if you've already run a very thorough antivirus scan.
